My HTC phone finally ready….

It’s almost one month I sent my device for repair. Finally, after weekly follow up with them, my device is ready to be shipped out….  Since, my network area already upgraded to LTE network and my phone line is upgraded to LTE too. So, it’s good to try with my phone… The only LTE phone I’ve right now….

My HTC

Yeah… Finally, my HTC phone was pick up by authorized courier service called UPS.  It’s actually really a good service provided by HTC. Whenever you mobile phone needs repair or replacement, just call/email/chat them for customer service. The good thing about HTC, your mobile phone will be picked up at your home/office! No need to walk in to any service centre…

My mobile phone was identified as faulty camera in low light condition due to Ultrapixel sensor (Thermal issue!).  It’s called purple/blue tinted issue. You may test you camera device by launch camera apps and cover the camera lens. If the your display turn into black screen. Then, you camera is OK. Let see how long does it take for HTC to repair the unit.

Smartphone or phablet?

Still thinking which device you should own? Smartphone or phablet?

It’s all depend on you… which device you like… Since, I’m just using HTC for few years and Samsung just nearly 2 months…. This might be useful for you…

1) Processing speed.

It’s good to choose the CPU from 800MHZ and above. Dual core is preferred. Even the quad core CPU already out, the software still not yet utilize it very well. Like normal user aka basic programmer just get thing done, they not really sure how to program using different core…

2) RAM

Make sure you’re device with 768MB and above… If you’re device is below than that, you might be limited yourself to install the apps in your smartphone… Since, a lot of communication apps like whatapps, line, messenger use a lot of memory…

3) User Interface

User interface really important to me… Since, I need the device to integrate all my contact into one place. That the major differences between the smartphone makers either HTC, Samsung, LG, Sony, Motorola and etc… It’s better to compare between HTC vs Samsung since I’ve both devices with me right now…

HTC UI : HTC Sense.

Samsung UI : TouchWitz

Check out the video from youtube.. .!

Basically, HTC Sense is better compared to TouchWitz… Since, TouchWitz unable to integrate all my contact into one place… Let say I’ve Facebook contact named Husni, and my phone contact named Husni too… So, it’ll create duplicate name for this…  To do this, I need to manually “Join Account” with my contact… Huh… By the way, with HTC Sense, it’ll automatically detect the contact and prompt you either like to link the account or not… That much better way for me… You’re know, even Samsung knows how to do that thing, it actually a little bit hard for them… Since, this involve IP (Intelligence Property)… It’s let another company might be sued them also… Huh…

4) Storage

Either internal storage from 1GB and above is recommended..

5) Battery/Power consumption

Smartphone really consume a lot of power… Maximum number of days it can be lasted around 2 days if you’re turned on you data package…

Homescreen

Apps screen

Thing I like HTC

1) HTC Sense. The UI

2) The casing… Aluminum type…

3) Software stability…

Thing I like Samsung Note 2

1) Big screen

2) Speed because 2GB RAM…

3) High battery capacity.. 3100mAH…

End….

Psst: I don’t like Samsung phone.. It’s feel plastic….Hahahha… Believe it or not… Find out yourself….

Celcom Mobile Internet

Surprisely,  I received a notification from Celcom regarding mobile internet. So, this package for those using the smartphone with internet are effected as well.

So, let say your monthly package is 3GB and your usage 100% of the volume. So, for this new policy your internet will be blocked starting October 1st, 2012. From the current policy, if the usage exceeds 100% of volume allocated, the speed will be throttled or decreases.

Sometime I’m really not so sure why this provider try to implement this way.

Let see what the differences between Maxis/Celcom/Digi if we exceed the volume allocated, let say 3GB for instant.

# Term
Maxis If exceed, normal charge for each kB.
Celcom If exceed, NO INTERNET!!!
Digi If exceed, speed will be throttled…

The amazing Windows Phone with “Lumia 800”

It’s just amazing device with Lumia 800. The best thing about this windows phone compared to android is more on office use like messaging, office suite which are include microsoft word, excel and one note as well. Beside that, the device capable to display *PDF format too…

In term of messaging purpose, it’s able to group all the messages from multiple sources under one name (person). So, the UI looks more organise in that way….

No doubt when you look for the device for productivity or business purpose… The battery also long last few day compared to android approximately 8 hours if data network turned ON (High Speed Data Package (HSPDA) or more…In Malaysia the LTE networks just started…. but the device supports the LTE network still not much selection out there… Only high end devices support the LTE network… Unless you travel to develop country they have that kind of technology…!

Let back to the Lumia 800…. The screen also looks amazing with AMOLED and true black screen… More over, it equipped with Corner Gorilla…. Something like HTC One X as well… So, if your phone comes with “Gorilla” glass display, the need of scree protector just an optional… You may try scratch the screen with any sharp tools like knife, screw or whatever tools you like… but don’t drop test you phone… !

The camera just good enough with Carl Zeiss – 8MP… Just rear camera… No front camera with Lumia 800…

Maps? Yes… This device supports Nokia map… and it’s free! That sound good. For me the map function just optional since most smartphone draws more power… So, i better switch to dedicate GPS device like Garmin or any other GPS devices… It’s much more convenience for me!

This Nokia windows phone not suitable for those who like games and more coolest apps in their phone… Because Windows Markaetplace (something like Google Play) just offer less application if we compare with android Google Play….

The need for speed… Yes… The device comes with 1.4GHz processor….!

Take a look this phone below;

Thanks Celcom University of Xpax (UOX)

Thanks for serving me a great 4 years with your service…. Celcom! The day I got this UOX plan, actually I was bought it at UMP cafeteria. There is one promotion there by celcom. Since the prepaid plan quite good and it much more affordable and damn good for student in term of price… It jus 15sen/min to other network or just 10sen/min on the same network…

So, my UOX plan is almost expire…. In 2012….. I just made a decision to switch to Celcom biz… Since it’s also offer much more better plan than UOX. I also signed up this package at cafeteria @ company…. Wondering why promoters love to promote their thing at cafeteria?!

How' does this Celcom Biz plan good compare to UOX. Here a little bit details…. Just a bit….. not byte…. word or dword…. or even mov plan, biz <lol…! what a freaking daily task need to do!!!>

Again…The Legend

Ouch…. After 3 weeks waiting for my mobile to be repaired…. I just received phone call from them… My phone already repaired and ready to pick up @ their store as well… So, I just happy !!! So, by the time I collect my phone…I just straight away back to my home… Since, no battery and sim card to insert… Since they just take the mobile itself without battery, sim card and memory card as well…

Nothing so special when start up the phone.. Since, I’m using Android 2.2 Froyo… The apps so nice and performance much more good !!! ….. When the time, I’ll try to check either the problem resolve or not… It’s quite frustrated…. Front speaker issue still happened!!! …

Today, I sent my phone to service centre @ Pulau Tikus (Around Gurney area, Penang)… Glad I still have warranty for my phone…

Hopefully, the issue will be resolved soon…
